How to configure WAN Priority Failover on DSL-2877AL?
Step 1: Open your Internet browser and enter http://dlinkrouter, http://dlinkrouter.local, or http://192.168.1.1 into the address bar.
Enter your login information. If you have not changed the default settings, the
–Username field is Admin and
–Password field should Admin. Click Login.
Step 2: Click the Setup tab at the top of the page and then click WAN Failover Priority Setup from the menu on the left-hand side.
Default WAN Priority as displayed:
Step 3: You may change the Priority Sequence from High to Low by selecting the desired WAN type.
Selected DSL (High Priority):
Ethernet WAN(Middle Priority) -> 3G/4G(Low Priority)
OR
3G/4G (Middle Priority) -> Ethernet WAN(Low Priority)
Selected Ethernet (High Priority):
DSL(Middle Priority) ->3G/4G(Low Priority)
OR
3G/4G(Middle Priority) -> DSL(Low Priority)
Selected 3G/4G(High Priority):
Ethernet WAN(Middle Priority) ->DSL(Low Priority)
OR
DSL(Middle Priority) -> Ethernet WAN(Low Priority)
Note: Please ensure DSL-2877AL is power-cycled(restart) after selecting the desired Failover configuration so as to achieve the desired overall WAN Failover behaviour.
