
Question : How do configure DIR-655, DIR-615 to allow only some PCs access to internet
IMPORTANT!
- Please use only hard-wired network connections to do the setting
- Disable firewall in your PC to avoid login problem
Step 1 Connect Your PC (Laptop) to the Router (Port 1,2,3,4 either one of them) using Network cable.
Step 2 Launch your IE (Internet explorer) and key in 192.168.0.1 in the address column and press enter.
Step 3 Enter your Username: admin and no password (if it is default) click on OK

Step 4 You will see a D-Link configuration page,
click on Advanced > Access Control > check “Enable Access Control” > click on Add Policy.

We will need to create 2 policy Policy 1 : IP address of the PC that allow to access to internet ( Maximum IP entry for each policy is 7)Policy 2 : Block the Rest of the IP address ( Does not include the IP address that list in the policy 1) to access to the internet
Step 5
First Policy: Allow certain IP address to access to internet, e.g. 192.168.0.100 able to access to internet.
- Click on Next
- Policy Name: Internet_enabled , click “Next”
- Choose “ Always”, click “Next”
- Address Type: IP
IP address: 192.168.0.100
- Click on “OK” ( If you wish to add more address please repeat step d and e )
- Click on “Next”
- For method choose “Log Web Access Only”
- Click on “Next”
- Click “save” to save the policy
Second Policy: Block all the rest of the IP address accessing to internet except the IP address listed in the first policy.
- Click on Advanced > Access Control > click on Add Policy.
- Click on “Next”
- Policy Name: no_internet, click “Next”
- Choose ”Always”, click “Next”
- Address Type: Other Mechines
- Click on “OK”
- Click on “Next”
- For Method choose “ Block All Access”
- Click “Save” to save the policy.
Step 6 You should be able to see the 2 policy created under policy table

Step 7 Click on “Save settings” to complete the setup.
